of <h1>Government retroactively amends GST notification under Section 9(1) to add 'food inputs for (a) above' to Table</h1> Under authority of section 9(1) of the State GST Act and on council recommendation, the government amends a prior GST notification by inserting in the notification's Table, against item 1, in column 3 a new subparagraph adding 'food inputs for (a) above' immediately after the existing entry for fortified rice kernel (premix) supply for ICDS or similar approved schemes. The amendment is retroactive and deemed effective from January 16, 2025.
