of <h1>Amendment Adds Food Inputs to Eligible Goods List Under Punjab GST Act, Effective Retroactively from Jan 16, 2025</h1> An amendment has been made to a previous notification under the Punjab Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, adding '(c) food inputs for (a) above' to the specified list of goods eligible under a certain scheme related to fortified rice kernels supplied for government-approved nutrition programs. This change modifies the earlier notification dated December 14, 2018, and is effective retroactively from January 16, 2025. The amendment is issued by the state government's Department of Excise and Taxation following the Council's recommendation and under the authority granted by the Act.
