of <h1>Jharkhand State Tax Rate Increased from 6% to 9% for Entry No. 4 Effective Retroactively from Jan 16, 2025</h1> The Government of Jharkhand has amended Notification No. 8/2018-State Tax (Rate) dated 5th March 2018, increasing the state tax rate from 6% to 9% for the specified entry at serial number 4 in the original notification's table. This amendment, issued under the Jharkhand Goods and Services Act, 2017, is effective retroactively from 16th January 2025. The change was made in the public interest based on the Council's recommendations and is formalized by the Commissioner of the Commercial Taxes Department.
