of <h1>Government reduces GST rate from 0.5% to 0.25% under Section 52 amendment effective July 2024</h1> The Government of Jammu and Kashmir amended Notification SRO-464 of 2018 under Section 52 of the Jammu and Kashmir Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, following Council recommendations. The amendment substitutes 'half per cent' with '0.25 per cent' in the original notification. This modification is deemed effective from July 10, 2024, and was formally issued on October 10, 2024, by the Finance Department through the Civil Secretariat.
