of <h1>Mizoram Government increases GST rate from 6% to 9% for specific goods under Section 4</h1> The Government of Mizoram Finance Department issued a notification amending the State Tax Rate notification from February 2018. Under the Mizoram Goods and Services Act, 2017, the Governor amended the tax rate in the notification table for Serial Number 4, column 4, changing the rate from 6% to 9%. This amendment was made following Council recommendations and in public interest. The notification became effective from January 16, 2025, and was signed by the Finance Commissioner.
