of <h1>Tripura amends GST notification adding metal scrap tax under HSN 72-81 for unregistered-registered transactions</h1> The Tripura State Government amended notification 4/2017-State Tax (Rate) under the Tripura SGST Act, 2017, based on GST Council recommendations. The amendment adds a new entry (S. No. 8) to the tax table covering metal scrap under HSN chapters 72-81, applicable to transactions between any unregistered person and any registered person. The amendment came into force on October 10, 2024, and was issued by the Finance Department on November 7, 2024.
