Government Forms Approval Committee for Textile SEZ in Maharashtra Under SEZ Act 2005

The Central Government has established an Approval Committee for the textile sector Special Economic Zone (SEZ) located in Pohi, Taluka Hingna, Butibori Industrial Area D-Zone, Nagpur, Maharashtra. This committee is formed under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, and includes the Development Commissioner of SEEPZ SEZ as Chairperson, and ex-officio members from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, Customs or Central Excise, Income Tax, and the Ministry of Finance. Two officers from the Government of Maharashtra and a representative from the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation are also included.
