This appointment is under the powers granted by sections 4 and 5 of the Customs Act, 1962. The Commissioner will adjudicate matters related to a Show Cause Notice issued to a company and others by the Directorate General of Revenue Intelligence, Ahmedabad. The notice, dated March 28, 2008, pertains to an investigation involving the company located in Dadara and Nagar Haveli, Silvassa.
