of <h1>Customs Notification Amended: Dimension Variances Allowed for Re-Imported Diamonds Under Customs Act 1962</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 9/2012-Customs to allow specific variances in the dimensions of re-imported diamonds. The permissible variances are set at +/- 0.05 mm in diameter for round diamonds, +/- 0.07 mm in length and breadth for other shapes, +/- 0.01 mm in height, and +/- 1 cent in weight. This amendment, issued under the Customs Act, 1962, is deemed necessary for public interest and modifies the conditions specified in the original notification from 2012, which was last amended in April 2023.
