of <h1>Government Approves 246.333 Hectares for Multi-Sector SEZ by Mahindra World City Developers Under SEZ Act 2005</h1> The Central Government has notified an area of 246.333 hectares for an amalgamated Multi-Sector Special Economic Zone (SEZ) proposed by M/s. Mahindra World City Developers Limited in Chenglepet Taluk, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu. This SEZ combines three previously sector-specific zones: IT (including services, electronics hardware, and bio-informatics), apparel and fashion accessories, and auto ancillaries. The notification supersedes previous notifications, consolidating the total area into a single SEZ. The Board of Approval for SEZs recommended this amalgamation, and the government confirmed compliance with the requirements under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005.
