of <h1>Haryana GST Act Amended: New Entry for Gene Therapy and Revised Definition of Pre-Packaged Items Effective 2025.</h1> The Haryana Government has amended notification No. 36/ST-2 under the Haryana Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. This amendment, effective from January 16, 2025, introduces changes to the Excise and Taxation Department's notification dated June 30, 2017. A new entry for 'Gene Therapy' is added after serial number 105 in the Schedule. Additionally, the definition of 'pre-packaged and labelled' commodities is revised to include items intended for retail sale, not exceeding 25 kg or 25 liters, as per the Legal Metrology Act, 2009. The amendment aims to align with public interest and council recommendations.
