of <h1>Central Government Amends IGST Act to Include Food Inputs for Fortified Rice Kernel in Govt Schemes.</h1> The Central Government, under the Integrated Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has amended Notification No. 40/2017-Integrated Tax (Rate) from October 18, 2017. This amendment adds a provision to the table in the original notification, specifically under S. No. 1, column 3, to include 'food inputs for (a) above' after the mention of 'Fortified Rice Kernel (Premix) supply for ICDS or similar scheme approved by the government.' This change is effective immediately as per Notification No. 03/2025, issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue.
