of <h1>Sikkim lowers GST threshold from ten crore to five crore rupees effective August 1, 2023.</h1> The Government of Sikkim has amended Notification No. 13/2020 - State Tax, originally dated March 21, 2020, under the Sikkim Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017. Effective August 1, 2023, the amendment changes the monetary threshold mentioned in the notification from 'ten crore rupees' to 'five crore rupees.' This change was made based on the recommendations of the Council and is issued by the Commercial Taxes Division of the Finance Department in Sikkim.
