of <h1>Central Government amends Notification No. 44/2020, updating reference dates for tax regulations effective upon Gazette publication.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 44/2020 by substituting the reference 'F. No. 13/3/2017-INF dated 13th August 2018' with 'F. No. 13/1/2017-INF dated 11th October, 2022' in the opening paragraph. This amendment, issued under the powers conferred by the Income-tax Act, 1961, will take effect from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. The amendment was made by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Central Board of Direct Taxes, and is documented in Notification No. 127/2024, dated 11th December 2024.
