This decision follows a proposal by a private organization and approval from the State Government of Maharashtra. The de-notified land will be used to create infrastructure in line with the SEZ's original objectives and state land use guidelines. The Development Commissioner of SEEPZ SEZ recommended this de-notification, and the Central Government confirmed compliance with relevant legal requirements.
