of <h1>Government Exempts Certain State-Established Organizations from Foreign Contribution Act, Effective Upon Gazette Publication.</h1> The Central Government has issued an order exempting certain organizations from the provisions of the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010. This exemption applies to organizations that are not political parties, are established by a Central or State Act or by governmental order, are wholly owned by the government, and are required to have their accounts audited by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) or its agencies. This order supersedes a previous order from July 1, 2011, and takes effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
