of <h1>Uttar Pradesh GST Act Amendment: Agricultural Produce Over 25kg Not 'Pre-Packaged' Under Legal Metrology Act, 2009.</h1> The Governor of Uttar Pradesh has issued an amendment to a previous notification under the Uttar Pradesh Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from July 15, 2024, the amendment specifies that the supply of agricultural farm produce in packages exceeding 25 kilograms or 25 liters will not be classified as 'pre-packaged and labelled' under the Legal Metrology Act, 2009. This decision was made in the public interest following recommendations from the Council.
