of <h1>Delhi Amends GST Notification: Farm Produce Over 25kg/25L Excluded from 'Pre-Packaged' Label Effective July 2024.</h1> The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, using powers under the Delhi Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has amended Notification No. 02/2017-State Tax (Rate). Effective from July 15, 2024, the amendment specifies that agricultural farm produce packaged in quantities exceeding 25 kilograms or 25 liters will not be classified as 'pre-packaged and labelled' under the Legal Metrology Act, 2009. This change is deemed necessary in the public interest and follows recommendations from the Council. The original notification was published on June 30, 2017, and has been amended multiple times, most recently on March 7, 2024.
