of <h1>Special Additional Excise Duty on Petroleum Crude Reduced to Nil per Tonne Effective September 18, 2024.</h1> The Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 25/2024-Central Excise, amending the previous Notification No. 18/2022-Central Excise dated July 19, 2022. This amendment reduces the Special Additional Excise Duty on the production of petroleum crude to 'Nil per tonne,' effective from September 18, 2024. The amendment is made under the authority of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and the Finance Act, 2002, deemed necessary in the public interest. The principal notification was last amended on September 2, 2024, under Notification No. 22/2024-Central Excise.
