of <h1>Karnataka amends GST Notification to exempt farm produce over 25 kg/l from 'pre-packaged' label under Legal Metrology Act.</h1> The Government of Karnataka has amended Notification No. (02/2017) under the Karnataka Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective July 15, 2024, the amendment specifies that the supply of agricultural farm produce in packages exceeding 25 kilograms or 25 liters will not be classified as 'pre-packaged and labelled' under the Legal Metrology Act, 2009. This change is made in the public interest following recommendations from the Council. The amendment is officially issued by the Finance Department of Karnataka.
