of <h1>Excise Duty on Petroleum Crude Production Reduced to Rs. 4600 per Tonne per Notification No. 19/2024-Central Excise.</h1> The Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, has issued Notification No. 19/2024-Central Excise, amending the previous Notification No. 18/2022-Central Excise. Effective from August 1, 2024, this amendment reduces the Special Additional Excise Duty on petroleum crude production, changing the duty to Rs. 4600 per tonne. This decision, made under the authority of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and the Finance Act, 2002, is deemed necessary in the public interest. The principal notification was initially published on July 19, 2022, and was last amended on July 15, 2024.
