of <h1>India Cuts Customs Duty on Gold, Silver, Platinum Imports to 4.35% Effective July 24, 2024.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has amended Notification No. 57/2000-Customs to reduce the concessional customs duty rate on gold, silver, and platinum imported under specified schemes from 9.35% to 4.35%. This amendment, issued under Notification No. 33/2024-Customs, is made in the public interest and will take effect on July 24, 2024. The principal notification was initially published on May 8, 2000, and has undergone previous amendments, the latest being on April 1, 2023.
