<h1>India Amends Customs Duty: Changes for Shrimp, Fish Oil, Solar Cells, and More from 24 July 2024.</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 30/2024-Customs, dated 23rd July 2024, to amend the previous Notification No. 50/2017-Customs. This amendment introduces changes to the Basic Customs Duty (BCD) on various goods, including live shrimp broodstock, Artemia, crude fish oil, shea nuts, and insect meal, among others. It also specifies new tariff rates and conditions for certain goods, such as solar photovoltaic cells, catalytic converters, and X-ray machine components. Several serial numbers and entries have been introduced, modified, or omitted, with specific provisions set to expire on various dates, ranging from 2024 to 2029. The notification is effective from 24th July 2024.
