of <h1>India Raises Duty-Free Import Limit for Commercial Samples to Rs. 3 Lakhs Under Notification 154/94-Customs Effective July 2024.</h1> The Government of India has amended Notification No. 154/94-Customs, dated July 13, 1994, which allows for duty-free import of commercial samples. The amendment, effective from July 24, 2024, increases the duty-free limit for commercial samples from Rs. 1,00,000 (One lakh) to Rs. 3,00,000 (Three lakhs) under condition (v), clause (A), sub-clause (b) in the notification's table. This change is made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, to serve public interest.
