of <h1>Legal References Updated to 2023 Codes: IPC, CrPC, Evidence Act Now Refer to New Bharatiya Laws u/s 8.</h1> The Central Government, under section 8 of the General Clauses Act, 1897, announces that references to the Indian Penal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure, or the Indian Evidence Act in any parliamentary or state legislation, ordinances, regulations, presidential orders, or related rules and notifications, will now be interpreted as references to the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, or Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam of 2023. This change ensures that all legal references align with the updated legal codes enacted in 2023.
