of <h1>Government Amends Import Density Requirement in ITC(HS) Schedule-I Under Foreign Trade Act 1992</h1> The Central Government has amended Schedule-I (Imports) of the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 2004-09, under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992. This amendment modifies Notification No. 24 (RE-2006)/2004-2009 by changing the density requirement in the import licensing note from less than 0.925 to greater than 1.3. This change is issued in the public interest and is documented under File No. 01/89/180/M-32/AM 03/PC-I A. The amendment is authorized by the Director General of Foreign Trade and Ex-officio Additional Secretary to the Government of India.
