of <h1>Odisha Amends GST Notification: Exempts Water, Sanitation Services to Government Authorities; Adds Indian Railways References.</h1> The Government of Odisha has amended its notification dated June 29, 2017, under the Odisha Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from October 20, 2023, the amendment introduces a new serial number 3B in the notification table, exempting services related to water supply, public health, sanitation conservancy, solid waste management, and slum improvement provided to a Governmental Authority from GST. Additionally, references to the Ministry of Railways (Indian Railways) are inserted alongside the Department of Posts in several serial numbers. These changes are made in the public interest following recommendations from the Goods and Services Tax Council.
