of <h1>Government Approves IT-Specific SEZ in Noida; 10 Hectares Allocated Under SEZ Act, 2005</h1> The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology and IT-enabled services at Plot No. 5, Sector-144, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The proposal was submitted by a private company under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The Central Government confirmed that all necessary requirements have been met and issued a letter of approval on July 1, 2008. The SEZ will cover an area of 10 hectares and has been officially notified by the government as per the relevant sections of the SEZ Act and Rules.
