<h1>Telangana Amends GST Act: Recognizes Govt Bodies as Educational Institutions for Entrance Exams.</h1> The Government of Telangana issued Notification G. O. Ms. No. 115 on August 25, 2023, amending a previous notification regarding the Telangana Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. This amendment clarifies that any authority, board, or body established by the Central or State Government, including the National Testing Agency, will be considered an educational institution solely for the purpose of conducting entrance examinations for admissions. This change is made in the public interest based on the Council's recommendations and is effective from March 1, 2023.
