of <h1>Assam Government Amends GST Notification; Extends Deadline from June 30, 2022, to July 28, 2022, Retroactive from July 5.</h1> The Government of Assam, under the authority of section 128 of the Assam Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has amended Notification No. FTX. 56/2017/Pt-II/97 dated February 1, 2018. The amendment changes the date in the fifth proviso from '30th day of June, 2022' to '28th day of July, 2022.' This amendment is retroactively effective from July 5, 2022. The notification was issued by the Finance (Taxation) Department and published in the Assam Gazette.
