of <h1>Maharashtra Withdraws Notification No. 30/2023-State Tax; New Rules Effective from January 1, 2024, u/s 148.</h1> The Government of Maharashtra, exercising its powers under section 148 of the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, has rescinded Notification No. 30/2023-State Tax dated August 22, 2023. This action follows recommendations from the Council and is documented in Notification No. 03/2024-State Tax, dated February 21, 2024. The rescission, however, does not affect actions taken or omitted before this notification. The new notification will be effective from January 1, 2024, as ordered by the Deputy Secretary to the Government.
