of <h1>Approval Committee Formed for IT SEZ, Includes Key Government and Company Representatives, Under SEZ Act 2005</h1> The Central Government has established an Approval Committee for the IT and IT-enabled services sector Special Economic Zone (SEZ) located in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. This committee is developed by a private company and includes the Development Commissioner as Chairperson, with members from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Zonal Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, customs and excise, income tax, the Ministry of Finance, and two officers from the Government of Gujarat. A representative from the developing company is also a special invitee.
