of <h1>Gujarat Amends GST Notification: Millet Flour-Based Food Preparations Now Included in Tax Rate, Effective October 20, 2023.</h1> The Government of Gujarat has amended Notification No. 2/2017-State Tax (Rate) under the Gujarat Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. This amendment, effective from October 20, 2023, introduces a new entry, 94A, in the schedule. It specifies that food preparations made from millet flour, in powder form, containing at least 70% millets by weight, and not pre-packaged and labeled, are included in the tax rate notification. This change is based on the recommendations of the Goods and Services Tax Council.
