of <h1>Central Government Cancels SEZ Notification in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu; Land to Follow State Guidelines and Plans.</h1> The Central Government has rescinded the notification for the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Sriperumbudur, Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu, initially established for electronic hardware and software, including IT-enabled services. M/s. Kanai Technology Parks Private Limited, the entity behind the SEZ, proposed de-notifying the 57.46715-hectare area. The State Government of Tamil Nadu has issued a No Objection Certificate, and the Development Commissioner of the Madras SEZ has recommended the proposal. The de-notified land will adhere to Tamil Nadu's Land Guidelines and master plans. The rescission applies except for actions already completed under the previous notification.
