of <h1>Maharashtra Amends GST Notification: Indian Railways Added to Item 5, Excluded from Central Govt Services in 5A.</h1> The Government of Maharashtra has issued Notification No. 14/2023-State Tax (Rate) to amend Notification No. 13/2017-State Tax (Rate) under the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from October 20, 2023, the amendments include modifications to the table in the original notification. Specifically, references to the Ministry of Railways (Indian Railways) have been added to item (i) under serial number 5 and excluded from services supplied by the Central Government under serial number 5A. These changes were made based on recommendations from the Council.
