of <h1>Central Government Forms Approval Committee for IT SEZ in Tamil Nadu Under SEZ Act, 2005</h1> The Central Government has established an Approval Committee for the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) dedicated to information technology and IT-enabled services at Jagir Ammapalayam Village, Salem District, Tamil Nadu. This committee, formed under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, includes a Development Commissioner as Chairperson and members from various government departments such as Commerce, Foreign Trade, Customs, Income Tax, Finance, and Tamil Nadu's Industrial Guidance. The Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited, the developer of the SEZ, is represented as a special invitee. The notification was issued on September 25, 2008.
