of <h1>CBEC Updates Tariff Values: Brass Scrap at $4146/MT, Poppy Seeds at $6724/MT under Notification No. 112/2008-CUSTOMS (N.T.)</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) has amended the tariff values for poppy seeds and brass scrap under Notification No. 112/2008-CUSTOMS (N.T.) dated October 1, 2008. The tariff value for brass scrap (all grades) is set at 4146 USD per metric tonne, and for poppy seeds, it is 6724 USD per metric tonne. This amendment modifies the previous notification No. 36/2001-Cus (N.T.) and follows the last amendment made on September 16, 2008. The changes are made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, to reflect current market conditions.
