of <h1>Central Government Revises Special Additional Excise Duty on Petroleum Crude to Rs. 6300 per Tonne Effective Nov 16, 2023.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 18/2022-Central Excise, dated July 19, 2022, regarding the Special Additional Excise Duty on petroleum crude production. As per Notification No. 38/2023-Central Excise, dated November 15, 2023, the duty rate specified in the table for serial number 1 is revised to Rs. 6300 per tonne. This amendment is made under the authority of section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and section 147 of the Finance Act, 2002, and will take effect on November 16, 2023.
