of <h1>Jammu & Kashmir Updates Goods & Services Tax: New Additions to Schedules I, II, and III Effective July 2023.</h1> The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has amended Notification No. 1/2017-Tax (Rate), dated 8th July 2017, under the Jammu and Kashmir Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The amendments include additions to Schedule I, such as un-fried or un-cooked snack pellets, fish soluble paste, Linz-Donawitz slag, and imitation zari thread. In Schedule II, the description for metallised yarn has been revised. Schedule III now includes un-fried or un-cooked snack pellets under toasted products and excludes Linz-Donawitz slag from certain waste descriptions. These changes are effective from 27th July 2023.
