of <h1>Chit Funds Act, 1982 now active in Andhra Pradesh and Mizoram as of September 15, 2008, per Section 1(3).</h1> The Chit Funds Act, 1982, has been made applicable in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Mizoram effective from September 15, 2008. This implementation is in accordance with the powers granted by sub-section (3) of Section I of the Chit Funds Act, 1982. The Central Government, through notification S.O.2197 (E), officially designated this date for the Act's provisions to come into force in these states.
