of <h1>Jammu and Kashmir Announces Amnesty for Late GST Returns u/s 148; Deadline for Compliance is June 30, 2023.</h1> The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced an amnesty scheme under Section 148 of the Jammu and Kashmir Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. This scheme applies to registered persons who did not submit a valid return within 30 days of receiving an assessment order issued on or before February 28, 2023, under Section 62(1) of the Act. These assessment orders will be deemed withdrawn if the registered persons submit the required return by June 30, 2023, along with the applicable interest and late fees. This applies regardless of any appeals filed or decided under Section 107 of the Act. The notification is effective from March 31, 2023.
