of <h1>Govt amends Notification No. 04/2022 to reduce Special Additional Excise Duty on diesel exports to Rs. 5.50/litre.</h1> The Central Government has issued Notification No. 31/2023-Central Excise, amending Notification No. 04/2022-Central Excise to reduce the Special Additional Excise Duty on diesel exports. Effective from September 16, 2023, the duty rate specified in the table under S. No. 2 has been revised to Rs. 5.50 per litre. This amendment is made under the authority of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and the Finance Act, 2002, in the interest of public welfare.
