of <h1>Punjab Amends GST Rules: Threshold Reduced from 10 Crore to 5 Crore for Enhanced Compliance, Effective August 2023.</h1> The Government of Punjab has amended Notification No. S.O.19/PGSTR/R.48/2021 dated January 28, 2021, under the Punjab Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017. Effective from August 1, 2023, the amendment changes the threshold amount mentioned in the notification from 'ten crore rupees' to 'five crore rupees.' This adjustment, made in the public interest and on the recommendation of the Council, is authorized by the Governor of Punjab and published by the Department of Excise and Taxation.
