of <h1>New Executive Director Appointed as Whole Time Member of SEBI for Three-Year Term Under SEBI Act, 1992.</h1> The Central Government has appointed an Executive Director as a Whole Time Member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). This appointment is made under the powers granted by the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992, and related rules. The term of this appointment is for three years from the date the appointee assumes the position, or until further orders are issued, whichever occurs first. The notification was issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, Financial Market Division on August 16, 2023.
