of <h1>Central Government Amends Customs Duty on LPG to 5% Effective July 1, 2023, Under Notification No. 41/2023-Customs.</h1> The Central Government has issued Notification No. 41/2023-Customs, amending Notification No. 50/2017-Customs, to prescribe a 5% Basic Customs Duty (BCD) rate on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) under tariff headings 27111910, 27111920, and 27111990. This amendment, made under the powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962, and the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, is deemed necessary in the public interest. The changes will take effect from July 1, 2023.
