of <h1>Gujarat GST Update: Jaggery and Khandsari Sugar Now Taxed at 2.5%, Pencil Sharpeners at 6% under Revised Schedules.</h1> The Government of Gujarat has issued amendments to Notification No. 1/2017-State Tax (Rate) under the Gujarat Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, effective March 1, 2023. In Schedule I, the entry for Sl. No. 91A is revised to include all types of jaggery and khandsari sugar as pre-packaged and labeled items, taxed at 2.5%. In Schedule II, pencil sharpeners are added under Sl. No. 186A, taxed at 6%. Schedule III, taxed at 9%, now excludes pencil sharpeners from Sl. No. 302A.
