of <h1>Nagaland GST Amendment: Jaggery, Khandsari Sugar, and Pencil Sharpeners See Tax Schedule Changes Effective March 1, 2023.</h1> The Government of Nagaland's Finance Department has issued an amendment to a previous notification under the Nagaland Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective March 1, 2023, the amendments include changes to tax schedules: Schedule I (2.5%) now includes all types of jaggery and khandsari sugar as pre-packaged and labelled; Schedule II (6%) introduces pencil sharpeners under a new entry; and Schedule III (9%) specifies exclusions for pencil sharpeners. These changes are based on the recommendations of the Council and are authorized by relevant sections of the Nagaland GST Act.
