of <h1>Kerala Amends Tax Notification to Exempt Entrance Exam Services by Government Bodies from GST Effective March 2023.</h1> The Government of Kerala has amended Notification No. 73/2017/TAXES dated 30th June 2017, through S.R.O. No. 519/2023, effective from 1st March 2023. The amendment clarifies that any authority, board, or body established by the Central or State Government, including the National Testing Agency, conducting entrance examinations for educational institutions, will be considered as an educational institution for this purpose. This change, based on the 49th meeting of the Goods and Services Tax Council, aims to exempt such services from GST, aligning with public interest objectives.
