of <h1>Puducherry Amends GST Notification: Entrance Exam Conductors Now Classified as Educational Institutions for GST Purposes.</h1> The Government of Puducherry has amended Notification No. 12/2017-Puducherry GST (Rate) through Notification No. 1/2023, effective from March 1, 2023. This amendment, issued by the Lieutenant-Governor under the Puducherry Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, clarifies that any Authority, Board, or Body established by the Central or State Government, including the National Testing Agency, conducting entrance examinations for educational institutions, will be regarded as an Educational Institution solely for the purpose of providing services related to such examinations.
