of <h1>Finance Ministry Cuts Special Additional Excise Duty on Diesel Exports to Rs. 0.50/Litre Effective April 4, 2023.</h1> The Ministry of Finance has issued Notification No. 17/2023-Central Excise, amending Notification No. 04/2022-Central Excise to reduce the Special Additional Excise Duty on diesel exports. Effective from April 4, 2023, the duty rate for diesel, as specified in the table, is revised to Rs. 0.50 per litre. This amendment is made under the authority of the Central Excise Act, 1944, and the Finance Act, 2002, in the interest of public welfare. The principal notification was previously amended on March 20, 2023, through Notification No. 14/2023-Central Excise.
